President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has been applauded for his commitment and determination especially regarding current football reform initiated through the National Sports Commission, NSC.

The former Chairman of El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club of Maiduguri, Alhaji Bashir Abiso made the commendation when he paid a courtesy call visit to the chairman of the Commission, Shehu Dikko, at his office recently.

Abiso, who served as the chairman of the Maiduguri-based  club for over two decades, said the president and the leadership of the Commission led by Shehu Dikko deserve commendation in this regard.

He explained that the reform will greatly contribute in changing the outdated football administration, where stakeholders would be involved in the promotion and development of football game across the country.

He assured that the much-awaited normalization of committee members, if constituted, will definitely do everything possible to save and allow fair representative of the upcoming leadership of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF.

While appealing to all football stakeholders to continue to support and rally round the present administration’s efforts towards reforming the NFF, he called on the commission to do more aimed at actualising the desired goal.

Abiso also expressed optimistism that the Commission will select members of the normalization committee of the NFF based on merit and vetted record, since FIFA has given approval to Nigeria on the

football reform.
