For the teeming supporters of Edo Queens, the argument on who carries the day has already been settled. To them, Edo Queens is the best women’s club in Nigeria that has the capacity to become NWFL premiership champions.

Friday’s task before the team may be the toughest of their career, but Edo Queens as they are currently rated, posses what many consider the most complete squad in Nigeria’s Women Football.
With the tireless midfielders, wingers, attackers, and defenders whose energy and aggression allow Edo Queens to press relentlessly, it will be absolutely difficult for any team to stop the Benin City based Queens from lefting the trophy.

Now that both rival teams stand directly on each other’s path, for Moses Aduku, Friday’s cracker is not only about beating Rivers Angels, it is also about going ahead to win the trophy. It is a grudge match between two former champions.

For the Benin City ladies, the three points are not negotiable. The last time both teams played themselves during the regular season, Rivers Angels defeated Edo Queens by 2-1 in Port Harcourt, while in the reverse fixture played at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo Queens thrashed Rivers Angels 4-1.
