General Manager of Edo Queens FC Rollanson Odeh has apologized to the Edo State government for ending the 2024/25 season without a trophy as he gave the players three weeks break after a the completion of the Nigeria Women Football League NWFL premiership season.
Odeh who disclosed this after an interactive session with the technical crew and players however, commended them for an injury free season, urging them to go back to their various homes and prepare for the coming season.
He stressed that the state government will not entertain failure next season, adding that it won’t be business as usual.

“On behalf of the Executive Chairman of the Sports Commission, and his board members, I want to apologize to the State Government for ending the season without a trophy. We are indeed very sorry. We promise to right the wrongs next season.
Sequel to this therefore, I wish you all safe journey to your respective homes. Enjoy your break, but don’t forget that there is a big task ahead that must be surmounted.”
“I want to thank God for a successful end of the season. You all did your best, In football sometimes you win, some times you don’t. But the most important thing is that we all ended the season alive.
Yes we didn’t not win trophies, but I believe there is always another time. We are not going to crucify anybody, all that is required of us now is to go back and begin to prepare for the coming season.”
