Edo capable of being Nigeria’s home of football, says Agent

Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hapoel Haifa FC of Israel, Oren Starling, has said that Edo state alone is capable of producing senior and junior national team players that can make the country proud at any given time if they are properly managed.
He stated this while addressing players and football managers at the close of a three-day football scouting programme done in collaboration with Dynamo Academicals FC of Benin at the University of Benin Sports Complex.
According to him, “This is my second time of visiting Nigeria for a football scouting programme. I’m so happy to be in Benin City Edo state Nigeria. I can boldly say that Benin City is my second home, a home of football talents. Nigeria is so blessed with football stars. They can produced world bests if Nigerian footballers plying their trade in various clubs in Europe are properly managed and harnessed.
“Right here in Benin City, there are lot of raw talents scattered all over the streets and if properly harnessed, can become world class players.
Super Eagles coach doesn’t need to tour the whole of Europe looking for players, there are lot of talented players, local players that are hungry and willing to play for the Super Eagles, they are equally potential World Cup materials,” he stressed.
