Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle has said that some people are against him keeping his position as the head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria.
The coach still has a year left of his contract with Nigeria and the National Sports Commission (NSC) has been meeting him for a review.
However, the talks have stalled largely due to the demands of the coach, which was leaked to the media in the wake of reports linking him with the vacant position at French Ligue 1 side Marseille.
The coach took exception to the fact that a confidential information like his demands for a new deal was leaked to the media, and feels it’s a calculated attempt by some people to get him sacked.
“I really wonder who put it out there and why? The only reason will be for me to be fired because I am aware some people don’t want me to continue as the coach but I have one more year to go on my contract, and I am looking forward to it”, the coach said.
