Fifteen time Champions League kings Real Madrid saw their quest for a 16th title shattered last night after losing hard fought war against Bayern Munich 4-3.
Business minded Madrid had struck as early as the first minute thanks to Arda Guler, but Bayern responded six minutes later by Alex Palvovic.
Guler made it a brace in the 29th minute only for Harry Kane to level up. But ding-dong affair was not about to end as Kylian Mbape shot Madrid into the lead again taking the fight to aggregate 4-4.
Bayern were not done yet with Luis Diaz and Michael Olise hitting the score sheet in the 89th minute and five minutes of added minutes respectively. The Bundesliga giants thus progressed on 6-4 aggregate.
