President General Worldwide of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo has expressed shock over the death of former President of Nigeria Football Association (now Nigeria Football Federation), Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima.

Alhaji Galadima who holds the traditional title of Galadiman Fagge, died Saturday in Kano at the age of 74. He was buried on Sunday according to Islamic rites.

In a condolence message he personally signed, Ladipo noted that Alhaji Galadima was very close to him when he was the helmsman of the country’s football; saying that with his death, Kano State and the entire country has lost an astute sports administrator whose fatherly counseling and advice would be highly missed.

“I’m saddened by the death of Alhaji Galadima who was my very good friend during his life time and contributed immensely to the development of the country’s football. His death coming at this time, has created a big vacuum because his wise counseling and fatherly advice will be highly missed, but I am happy that he lived a fulfilled life.

Ladipo while condoling with his family, Kano State and the entire football family in the country, prayed Almighty Allah to grant his Soul eternal rest and give those he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

“My prayer goes to the family he left behind and the good people of Kano State. I also pray that Almighty Allah grant his soul eternal rest”, concludes the statement.
