Adeshina Tumuninu and Kafayat Mafisere, fired Edo Queens into the quarter-finals of the 2026 President Federation Cup, PFC with 4-0 routing of Delta Queens of Asaba in an explosive match played Tuesday evening at the Awka City Stadium in Awka, Anambra State.
Adeshina who was at her best scored a hat-trick in the first half of the game that put Edo Queens on the lead before the half time break.
While Mafisere Kafayat scored the 4th goal in the 56th minute to seal the quarter-final ticket for the Benin Queens.
Adeshina and Kafayat have given a glimpse of what to expect from them when they enter into the Super 6 showdown this weekend.
Chioma Moses, made some good assists in the 4-0 thriller and she also missed some good scoring chances that would have given Edo Queens five or six goals.
Despite the overwhelming victory against Delta Queens, the coach Stanley Seyi Osazee side showed potentials and consistency up front but the Benin ladies were just too hot for them to handle.
As the Benin ladies go into the Super 6 campaign with fire up mentality, they would be a team to watch out for.
They will now battle one of their arch rivals Nasarawa Amazons in the quarter finals of the PFC.
