In a commendation message sent to the chairman of the Foundation, Chief Raphael Akowe, a coach in the academy, Mr. Gambo Rich said the support from the Foundation would go a long way in not only inspiring the young football players to greater heights but also bring them joy and encourage team work among them.
”Eleven Brothers Football Academy extends its heartfelt gratitude to Buckhurst Hill and to Raphael Akowe Foundation for the generous donation of these beautiful jerseys. Your kindness and support go beyond providing sportswear—they inspire hope, encourage teamwork, and bring joy to those who receive them”, he said.
Continuing, Coach Rich stressed, “We are honoured to be among beneficiaries of the jerseys. Your contribution reflects a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the community, and we deeply appreciate your generosity”.
While still thanking Buckhurst Hill/Raphael Akowe Foundation for their compassion and unwavering support, he said that they together with the academy “are creating opportunities, empowering lives, and making a meaningful difference to the lives of the young players “.
Raphael Akowe Foundation has been engaged in donating sportswears, balls and other accessories, including bicycles, notebooks and textbooks to schools in his hometown, Ekpon in Edo State and around the country.
The Foundation has equipped its school in Ekpon with computers to bring the pupils to the same level of digital awareness with their counterparts in the cities.
I am doing this to ensure that these children don’t lack what I lacked while growing up in the village. So I want Nigerians to join me in helping these children to be better citizens in future”, Chief Akowe pleaded.
