Gift Orban has added another individual honour to his remarkable start in Turkey after winning the Goal of the Month award in the Turkish Süper Lig for September.
The Nigeria forward was recognised for his stunning long-range strike in Amedspor’s 3-2 home victory over Beşiktaş, giving supporters another reason to celebrate his impressive run of form.
Orban produced his moment of brilliance in the 13th minute, picking up the ball before unleashing a powerful effort from distance that flew beyond the goalkeeper to give the home side an early lead.
The strike immediately caught the attention of Turkish football fans and eventually earned the 24-year-old the monthly award after a fan vote conducted through the Turkish Süper Lig’s official Instagram and X accounts.
The most beautiful goal of Trendyol Süper Lig in September has been determined by the votes you cast in the polls on our Instagram and X accounts,” the league announced on social media.
Orban reportedly received 90 percent of the votes to beat Emirhan Topçu and claim the September award.
More than 8,751 fans voted on X (formerly Twitter), while the poll attracted a huge 23,000 interactions on Instagram, helping the Nigerian international secure the victory.
The latest honour is another sign of how quickly the Super Eagles forward has become one of the standout attacking players in Turkey.
The award comes during a sensational start to Orban’s loan spell with Amedspor.
The striker joined the Turkish club from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim on a season-long loan in July and has wasted little time making his presence felt.
Under manager Besnik Hasi, Orban has scored seven goals and provided two assists in six league appearances, putting him among the division’s most productive attackers.
His goalscoring form has also taken him to the top end of the Süper Lig scoring chart, where he is currently level with Trabzonspor forward Mohamed Salah.
The former Gent and Lyon attacker has therefore turned his impressive individual performances into one of the biggest talking points surrounding the early stages of the Turkish league season.
The Diyarbakır-based side have also enjoyed a strong start to the campaign and currently sit at the top of the Süper Lig standings.

With Orban firing on all cylinders, the club will hope their Nigerian forward can maintain his scoring run when they return to action on Saturday, October 10, away to Gençlerbirliği.
