Federation, NFF, has commiserated with the Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali over the death of his mother on January 1, 2025.

Reacting to this tragic news, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) extended their condolences to Nwabali through their social media channels.

They wrote: “Our heartfelt condolences to Stanley Nwabali on the loss of his mother. Stay strong, Stanley. Sending you strength and support during this difficult time. You are not alone; we are all with you.”

This tragic news follows closely on the heels of his father’s death two months earlier, marking a sorrowful period for the Chippa United of South Africa goalkeeper.

Nwabali shared the heartbreaking news via his social media account, expressing his grief.

The Rivers-born shot stopper, it would be recalled, lost of his father last year a few hours before participating in a match against Benin Republic but he put aside emotions and continued to play despite hearing the news of his father’s demise.
